Haley's Pick 🍽️

Haley's Review of Riot BBQ
Riot BBQ on South Delaware feels like a backyard cookout run by a Top Chef, because it is. Chef Manny Barella and pitmaster Patrick Klaiber have teamed up to blend Monterrey flavors with Texas-style smoke, and the results are seriously craveable.
The brisket steals the show: tender, deeply smoky, and finished with Barella’s bold spice rub. Get it solo or wrapped in buttery Raquelita tortillas. The pulled pork brings heat with ancho, guajillo, and morita chiles, and the al pastor ribs are sticky, sweet, and slightly charred in all the right ways.
Even the sides are insanely good! Think crunchy pepita-macha slaw and banana pudding served in a jar that tastes just like childhood (but better). Every bite feels intentional.
It’s barbecue with heart, history, and just the right amount of heat. Riot BBQ isn’t just a meal, it’s a moment worth lining up for.

Local Insights
🍪 Cookie Lineup: Go early for the salted caramel truffle and peanut butter cookies—they sometimes sell out before lunch.
🍵 Tea from Around the Corner: Tea is sourced from a local Delhi shop and the menu is long—ask for recommendations if you’re undecided.
🌱 Market Sourcing: Salads and some soups rotate with whatever’s fresh from the Delhi Farmers’ Market next door (Wednesdays, summer/fall).
🥞 Big Plates, Small Room: The café is popular on Saturdays from 11 AM to 1 PM; solo diners fare better at window tables.

Based on the 50 most recent Google reviews
Blue Bee Cafe draws an enthusiastic crowd for its hearty portions, fresh pastries, and steady breakfast-and-lunch classics. Most praise the homemade scones, giant waffles, paninis, and cookies, as well as the variety of teas and the accommodating vegetarian options. Friendly counter service and bustling energy are frequent positives, especially when it's busy. A handful of reviews mention less consistent hospitality or rushed turnover during heavy weekend brunch rushes, but most agree the bright gathering space, reliable menu, and welcoming staff keep people coming back.
