The RDI feels like a proper Catskills bar—mismatched chairs, deer mounts, and music rattling the walls most nights. Booths fill with regulars swapping stories over plates stacked high, cold drafts in hand, and the hum of baseball on the TV.

What to Expect:

🍔 Exotic game burgers—wild boar, kangaroo, yak, camel, ostrich
🍺 Low-cost drafts, good craft beer selection, and classic cocktails
🎤 Karaoke Fridays, dartboards, and live music some nights
🦌 Walls lined with odd memorabilia and a just-off-the-highway bar crowd
    🐕 Dog-friendly patio for post-hike hangs

Important Information:

✔ Walk-ins welcome; no reservations needed for most nights
✔ Wheelchair-accessible entrance and patio; restrooms standard height
✔ Table service, counter service at the bar, and quick bites available
✔ Check schedule for karaoke and music nights; game meat selection changes often

Haley's Pick 🍽️

You probably know her as @milehighandhungry. Each week, Haley shares the one place she’s obsessed with right now. From hidden gems to hot new openings, if she picks it, it’s worth the hype.

Haley's Review of Riot BBQ
Riot BBQ on South Delaware feels like a backyard cookout run by a Top Chef, because it is. Chef Manny Barella and pitmaster Patrick Klaiber have teamed up to blend Monterrey flavors with Texas-style smoke, and the results are seriously craveable.

The brisket steals the show: tender, deeply smoky, and finished with Barella’s bold spice rub. Get it solo or wrapped in buttery Raquelita tortillas. The pulled pork brings heat with ancho, guajillo, and morita chiles, and the al pastor ribs are sticky, sweet, and slightly charred in all the right ways.

Even the sides are insanely good! Think crunchy pepita-macha slaw and banana pudding served in a jar that tastes just like childhood (but better). Every bite feels intentional.

It’s barbecue with heart, history, and just the right amount of heat. Riot BBQ isn’t just a meal, it’s a moment worth lining up for.

What folks are saying

Based on the 50 most recent Google reviews
Guests rave about the full lineup of exotic wild game burgers—bison, yak, boar, and more—plus a reliable tap list with both craft and cheap drafts. Staff and owner are called out as friendly and quick with a story, while karaoke and dart leagues keep the bar active (especially Fridays). Most reviews mention a fun, lived-in Catskill-bar atmosphere, though some comment on occasional slow service or mixed experiences with food consistency and busy nights. Patio scores points with dog owners and hikers. Serious complaints about service or food are rare but do crop up after big groups or off-peak hours.
